The Whisperer War has only debuted its first issue on shelves so far but we're already looking ahead to the cover of its fourth installment, the 160th overall issue of The Walking Dead comics.

The new cover brings Carl and his girlfriend and daughter of the late Whisperer leader Lydia to the forefront. The dynamic between the two teenage characters will be interesting heading into the 6-issue arc. With Lydia's mom having been assassinated by Negan prior to Carl's father's planned assault on the group, you can bet there will be differences in how the two view the loss of Lydia.

"Everyone featured on this last page will have drastically different lives five issues from now," The Walking Dead editor Sean Mackiewicz teased in the Letter Hacks section of the first Whisperer War issue, adding, "If they're still living..."

The first issue of The Whisperer War (#157) saw Rick receiving Alpha's head from Negan. The villain claimed to be attempting to gain Rick's trust and while Rick is reluctant to have him join the community or trust him, he is willing to let Negan offer his help in the impending battles. While all of this was going on, many overlooked the fact that Eugene revealed where he is to a questionable voice over the radio.

The Walking Dead #160 hit shelves November 2. The Walking Dead TV series will return for its seventh season on October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.
