Daniel Bryan Responds To The Miz: "He Was Right"

#SDLive GM @WWEDanielBryan explains his actions last week on #TalkingSmack on @WWENetwork. [...]

Last week on WWE Talking Smack, the best Heel in the business The Miz blasted Daniel Bryan after he said The Miz wrestled like a coward, and it was one of the best promos in quite some time.

"I'm the coward in the wrestling ring?," asked Miz. "Let's talk about cowards for one second. The reason I wrestle the way I wrestle is because I can do it day in and day out, all the time for ten plus years!" As Miz continued, you could see his face get redder and he became more aggressive towards Bryan. Miz talked about how he doesn't get injured for six months and beyond. "I am here each and every week, but you sit here and call me a coward?"

Since then there has been no response from Bryan, but it was teased that his thoughts were incoming later this week on Smackdown Live. That didn't end up happening, but he did address the situation on Talking Smack immediately afterward (via CageSideSeats).

"When I got up and walked away it wasn't like... some of my friends were like 'it looked like you were going to punch him in the face' and it wasn't that. I think that the biggest thing was he was right. If I had the guts -- I feel like I'm healthy -- if I had any guts, I would quit and go do the indies. Probably not bingo halls, probably more like Tokyo Domes. We can talk to AJ Styles about that later. But yeah, it was really... I've got health to worry about. Brie and I are trying to have kids, all that kind of stuff. There's just that part of you, that turmoil. He pressed all those buttons, he knows how to press them. Which is why they're not letting us do anything on TV together anymore because... yeah, they're like 'okay, Bryan, Miz, you guys are done.'"

Plenty of wrestlers have made fantastic careers out of work in the indies or overseas, and someone of Bryan's stature would be far from limited to just working in bingo halls. That said, he has a family to think about, and while he still possesses the skill to work in the ring, the potential risks seem to far outweigh the rewards.

Either way, you won't likely be seeing The Miz and Bryan interact much on Talking Smack anymore, but hopefully, this isn't the last we see of this impassioned type of promo. The WWE could certainly use more like it.
