As anyone in knee deep in the zombie apocalypse will tell you, zombies aren't a walk in the park, something that Shaun and Ed are intimately familiar with, and Ed especially so.

You'll recognize those names from the beloved Edgar Wright directed Shaun of the Dead, which starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as best friends. It's not like things couldn't always get worse, though, and you could definitely describe an invasion of Cronenberg's and Preying Mantis' as worse.

They didn't just show up on their own, though, and you can thank Rick and Morty, who seem to create chaos in other universes on a daily if not hourly basis, for bringing them there. Both can be seen later in the trailer, a clip that was created by YouTube user Critters. In the clip, Shaun is completely oblivious to the intruders, though to be fair he's pretty oblivious to everything, so they shouldn't take any offense. Also, they should just be happy they didn't bring Scary Terry along for the ride.

You can view more of Critter's work on their YouTube page.

Rick and Morty was created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, and airs on Cartoon Network. It will return for its third season later this year, and stars Roiland, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke, and Kari Wahlgren.

Shaun of the Dead released back in 2004 and was directed by Edgar Wright. The film starred Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, and Dylan Morgan.
