Big things are happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Phase Three unfolds, with new heroes launching into their own solo movies, as well as the approaching threat of a villain who is manipulating events on a cosmic scale. One of the most anticipated new heroes is no doubt Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther, who we met in Captain America: Civil War and will see headlining his own solo film in 2017.

Comicbook.com's Jim Viscardi recently sat down one-on-one with Chadwick Boseman, and one of the topics discussed was Black Panther's readiness for the big battle against Thanos that we'll see in Avengers: Infinity War. From the sound of things, Boseman is confident that T'Challa will be ready for that battle, because when asked if Black Panther is ready to hold his own against Thanos, Boseman answered, "Sure, yeah. Black Panther is ready to go toe-to-toe against anybody."

Marvel fans know how powerful Thanos "The Mad Titan" is; powerful enough to have slain all of the major Marvel superheroes that were featured in the original Infinity Gauntlet storyline (that includes Captain America, Thor, Wolverine and Hulk). Since the Infinity Gauntlet - and the stones that power it - make the wearer a virtual god, it would be a tall order for the entire MCU superhero roster - let alone Black Panther - to beat him.

Of course, Black Panther is sitting on a lot of superior technology and the most valuable metal alloy on Earth (vibranium), so maybe there's something he can do against Thanos that the other heroes can't?
