Aftering Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes (played by Gabriel Luna) made his long-awaited MCU debut in this past Tuesday's season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel Entertainment has released a new video in which Mark Kolpack, the show's visual effects guru, explains the challenges his department faced and overcame to bring the Spirit of Vengeance to life on the small screen.

"Technically, I designed a hood that has LEDS on it," Kolpack says in the video above. "It's powered-up and has as a flicker; It actually can adjust different color temperatures. So, we have something yellow that actually works very nicely and gives a flicker, so the jacket is lit up. Because it would be lit up if he were a light source. So then we open it up more, so we can get more of Gabe's face, and I have tracking markers on there. And really, it's about trying to get Gabe's emotions—what he's sort of expressing through his face and apply some of that to eye orbits and all that kind of business. To me, it was about having a character that the audience can actually connect to, can actually interrelate to, can feel. So therefore, it became about what kind of things can I add into this, like the little burning coal eyes; the fact that the eye orbits squash and stretch for expression; the fact that this area here (points to temples) essentially works like exhaust pipes."

Daisy goes to battle Ghost Rider at a terrible cost, and Coulson faces the new Director, and his bold agenda surprises them all.

The show stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, and Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso "Mack" MacKenzie.

The guest cast includes Jason O'Mara as the Director, Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, Briana Venskus as Agent Piper, Nico David as boy, John Churchill as father, Adrian Quinonez as Ignacio, Jen Kuo Sung as Chen, Daniel Zacapa as Canelo, Lilli Birdsell as Lucy, Dan Donohue as Frederick, Ward Roberts as Hugo, Usman Ally as Vincent, Deren Tadlock as armed S.H.I.E.L.D. guard, and Mark Daneri as Wisconsin congressman.

"Meet the New Boss" was written by Drew Z. Greenberg and directed by Vincent Misiano.

"Meet the New Boss" episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air Tuesday, September 27 at 10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT on the ABC Television Network.
