Darth Maul Uses Kylo Ren's Trick in New Star Wars Rebels Clip

Season 3 of Star Wars Rebels got off to a great start last weekend with the introduction of Thrawn, promising another action-packed season spanning across the galaxy far, far away.

The latest clip released for season 3, episode 2 - which will air this weekend on October 1. In Holocrons of Fate Maul takes the crew of the Ghost hostage, Ezra and Kanan must recover an ancient artifact to save them.

As you can see in the video above, Darth Maul pulls a Kylo Ren on Hera when he waves his hand over her head and reads her mind to discover what happened to the highly sought after Sith Holocron that Ezra got his hands on.

Last season, Maul used Ezra to fetch the powerful Sith artifact, which started to pull Ezra closer to the Dark Side. After deciding how powerful and dangerous the Holocron was, Ezra did not hand it over to Maul.

Knowing that Darth Maul has a similar power to Kylo Ren's mind reading is rather interesting, considering that now we know that Darth Maul can find out whatever he wants as long as he can break into someones brain. This makes him much more dangerous than we previously thought.

Don't forget that Force sensitives are able to shut out this intrusion, meaning that some members of the Ghost crew may be safe.
