During the script writing process, it isn't uncommon to go through multiple drafts that demand certain elements be moved, tweaked, or removed altogether. For Captain America: Civil War, it turns out Ant-Man was one of the most influx pieces.

At one point early on in the process, Ant-Man (played by Paul Rudd) was actually on Iron Man's side, which was revealed in some unused concept art from the talented Andy Park. The previous art showed the hero in his Giant Man form, but instead of taking on Iron Man, War Machine, Spider-Man, and the rest of Tony's crew, he was shown taking on Captain America. After seeing the film, that just feels wrong.

The same goes for the newest piece of unused art from the project, which shows Ant-Man charging from his small form to regular size at Hawkeye. Park posted a caption with the photo that said "These keyframes often are done pretty early on so scripts change/evolve. I enjoyed painting this possible moment."

The good news for fans is that minds were changed at some point, which allowed one of the best scenes in the film to become a reality. For those who have seen the film, the Russo Brothers perfectly captured one of the most iconic Avengers moments from the comics when Ant-Man hops aboard an arrow that Hawkeye launches towards Iron Man.
