Before actor J.K. Simmons dons the screen as iconic Batman character Commissioner James Gordon, he is starring alongside fellow Justice League actor Ben Affleck in their new film The Accountant.

ComicBook.com's Ashley Robinson recently had a chance to sit down with the award-winning actor and asked how Simmons felt working alongside Affleck.

"There are things that you sort of look forward to. Oh that's gonna be an especially intense day or funny day or you know, whatever fun day. If you get to run around and you know, jump over fences and fight bad guys or you know whatever it is, and especially when the plots sort of intersect you know here and there in the movie, and so many of the supporting characters come in and out of Ben's world, those moments when you get a chance to connect, in this case with Ben and his character, that was a really good and fun, intense, interesting day on set."

The two should have plenty of time to get to know one another, as along with their time on Justice League the two will also more than likely film the upcoming The Batman solo feature together. Justice League director Zack Snyder recently shared the first photo of Simmons in the role, as he stands next to the Bat-Signal. It's likely they'll be joined by Joe Manganiello's DeathStroke as well.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017. The Accountant hits theaters on October 14.
