After grossing $337 million at the worldwide box office, third best in the franchise (but eighth best when factoring in ticket price inflation), Star Trek Beyond is now available on Digital HD, and to celebrate its online release, the latest installment of the popular animated series How It Should Have Ended focuses solely on the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise.

The video begins by poking fun at how easily Uhura deduces that Balthazar Edison (Idris Elba), former commander of the USS Franklin, and Krall, the powerful alien creature, are in fact the same person. Next up, instead of Kirk dangerously fighting Krall (who wants to unleash his bioweapon) in Yorktown's ventilation system, Commander Finnegan (Greg Grunberg) teleports the villain to a harmless location.

It concludes with Kirk and Scotty telling Jaylah that they pulled some strings to get her into Starfleet Academy, and when she aks if she has to wear the uniform, Lieutenant Dr. Carol Marcus, the character played by Alice Eve in 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness, pops up and gives Jaylah some sound advice.

From Director Justin Lin and Producer J.J. Abrams comes one of the best-reviewed action movies of the year. Dispatched on a rescue mission to the farthest reaches of space, the USS Enterprise is ambushed by Krall, a ruthless enemy sworn against the Federation. Crash-landing on an uncharted hostile world, Captain Kirk, Spock and the crew are separated with no means of escape. Only Jaylah, a rebellious alien warrior, can help them reunite and find a way off the planet in a race against time to stop Krall's deadly army from triggering all-out galactic war.

From Paramount Pictures and Skydance, Star Trek Beyond is a Bad Robot, Sneaky Shark, Perfect Storm Entertainment production. The film starrred Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba. The third film in the franchise series was produced by J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci, Lindsey Weber, and Justin Lin. It was executive produced by Jeffrey Chernov, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Tommy Harper. Based upon Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry, the screenplay was written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.

Star Trek Beyond is now on Digital HD and will be available on DVD and Blu-ray November 1.
