Underworld: Blood Wars Official Trailer Released

Just days after revealing new character posters for Underworld: Blood Wars, Screen Gems has released the first full-length trailer for the upcoming film.

Actually, we got two trailers from the studio. One for domestic audiences, and one for the international crowd.

At Friday's Screen Gems Panel at New York Comic Con, we got a deeper look into the fifth film in the Underworld franchise. Just when you thought the vampire/lycan story couldn't get any more action-packed, these trailers proves you wrong.

This movie looks cold as hell, in every sense of the phrase.

First off, the setting is just much colder than the previous films. Much of Blood Wars will take place in the artic regions, as Selene adventures there to gain new abilities. Since she is at the center of the entire conflict, the war will follow her there.

Second, and may more important, this is the coldest version of Selene we've seen to date. She has always been a ruthless killer when necessary, but this is a whole new level. Selene is on a mission, and she won't be stopped.

Towards the end of the trailer, we get a sneak peak of Selene's evolution after she emerged from the water. She can move at Flash-like speeds, over-power massive Lycans, and even disappear from before your very eyes.

If you thought she was dangerous before, you haven't seen anything yet.

Underworld: Blood Wars stars Kate Beckinsale, Theo James, and Charles Dance, and is set to hit theaters January 6, 2017.
