The Walking Dead Gets The Rifftrax Treatment

Tonight marks the return of The Walking Dead to AMC after a long wait by fans. The series premieres its seventh season tonight, and the episode promises to bring gore and suspense to viewers' homes. However, there are those who might want to skip the carnage and look for some lighter on-screen options to peruse.

So, it's a good thing that Rifftrax finally turned to The Walking Dead for inspiration.

The comedy site has taken the very first episode of the hit drama and poked all sorts of fun at it. At just over a minute, the video comments on the show's over-the-top drama, violence, and apocalyptic tropes.

Naturally, this lighthearted video will go over well with easygoing fans or people who have never seen the show before. It is unlikely that many people will be watching it tonight since their minds will be preoccupied with the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. The explosive debut is slated to reveal the mysterious victim who Negan bludgeons to death, and fans have been dying to know the character's identity for months now.
