After news broke about Doctor Strange's addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans began to wonder whether they'd see the Sorcerer Supreme join the Avengers. The World's Mightiest Heroes have been gearing up to showdown with Thanos, and Doctor Strange's mystical powers could definitely give the Mad Titan a run for his money. Over the summer, fans learned that the magical superhero would be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War - and now the stars of Doctor Strange are talking about the upcoming crossover.

Director Scott Derrickson kicked off the conversation with MTV International during at an interview. The filmmaker said he didn't know who Doctor Strange would be teaming up with in Infinity War since that integration was all under Kevin Feige's control. However, he did reveal who he'd like to see the sorcerer work alongside. "Rocket," Derrickson said. "I think Doctor Strange and Rocket would be a hoot."

When MTV spoke with actor Benedict Cumberbatch, the actor was a more hesitant to share his thoughts on the crossover. He refused to name any specific Avengers to prevent the press from spinning out bogus headlines, but he did say he'd be excited to work with "all of them"."

"That's the only boring blanket answer, but it's the truth," Cumberbatch said. "Of course, I do know what's going to happen, and I'm very excited about it. But am I going to talk about it now? No."

The network even spoke with Benedict Wong about his upcoming role in Infinity War, and the actor said he'd think it would be interesting to see his character Wong interact with Queen's most famous vigilante. "I used to collect a lot of Spider-Man comics growing up," he said, looking back on his days back in Manchester. "So, I think Spider-Man - that would be interesting."

Of course, this isn't the first time that the cast or crew of Doctor Strange have talked about the hero meeting the Avengers. Earlier this week, Screenrant reported that Cumberbatch apparently confirmed his Avengers membership during a London press junket. The actor told the the press that Doctor Strange is going to be an Avenger.

Fans were too shocked by this revelation. Following several other interviews from Cumberbatch, fans had alredy assumed the actor would be teaming up with the Avengers. He told Empire Magazine that the future of Doctor Strange had been cloudy for some time because of a, "logistical challenge of aligning his schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany."

Take a look at those names, and you will recognize them as actors who each play an Avenger. If Cumberbatch was working his production schedule around theirs, it means the gang will share scenes - and that only convinced fans further about Doctor Strange's cinematic future.

Fans also learned recently that another character from Doctor Strange would be joining Infinity War. Benedict Wong told ComicBook.com that his character Wong would appear in the film. He said, "I'm thrilled I'm going to be in Infinity War. I'm looking forward to, I'll tell you that one first."

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 4.
