The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan Drops F-Bomb On Talking Dead

On Sunday, fans of The Walking Dead were finally treated to the show's Season 7 premiere. The gut-wrenching episode took fans on an emotional rollercoaster as they were shown one of the most brutal deaths in television history. Once the premiere wrapped, the show's cast appeared on AMC's Talking Dead special to react to the shocking episode. And, unsurprisingly, Lauren Cohan had a lot to say.

The Walking Dead cast spoke to Chris Hardwick after the Season 7 premiere ended, and fans were eager to hear their thoughts on the deaths of Abraham and Glenn. The host took time to speak with Lauren Cohan about the latter's bludgeoning, and she was none too polite when addressing the ordeal.

Cohan talked about Maggie's reaction and said the violent scene challenged her optimistic personality. "We've know that she always sort of looks for the highest ring, and she looks for the hope. She looks for the sunlight," she started. "Running up to that moment, they're all completely emotionally handcuffed and can't do anything because of the threat of Negan. And then she's physically handcuffed."

The actress continued, sayng, "I think by the time we see that happen, [there's] such a f**king fire burning so strong in her belly."

Unsurprisingly, the show's live audience rallied behind her loose swear. Fans can be seen cheering and throwing up devil horns as they championed Maggie. Cohan welcomed the attention, but she did look a bit weary about her wording.

"Wait, can I say f**k?" she asked. "I did it. I already did it."

Thankfully, Hardwick stepped in to calm down censors and worried parents watching the broadcast before they could file their complaints. "You know what? I'm going to tell you something," he says. "You just watched two people get their skulls bashed in. So, if you have a problem with the F word, then f**k you. Seriously, I'll take the heat on this one."

F-bomb aside, it looks like Cohan is ready to bring a stronger, more forceful iteration of Maggie to the small screen this season. Fans of the comics will know that the character has plenty of storylines in her future as Glenn's death prompts Maggie to become a major leader in The Walking Dead universe.

Maggie leaves Negan's ambush with her fellow survivors, but she ultimately chooses to leave them at Alexandria. Grieving the loss of her husband, Maggie refuses to return to their shared home and moves to Hilltop. It's there that she receives treatment for her pregnancy, and the comics follow Maggie as she becomes a community leader. Glenn's murder motivates her to take on Negan head-on, so it's likely that Maggie will take charge of Hilltop once war begins between the Saviors and other surrounding communities.
