Despite their recent rivalry, Cesaro and Sheamus put their differences aside and set a goal to capture the Raw Tag Team Championship. The New Day are in their second reign that has lasted for 434 days, the longest of the modern era and almost breaking Demolition's record of 478 days.

The New Day would be represented by Xavier Woods and Big E and the two champions held their own against the newly-formed team. The lack of experience of teamwork showed early on in the match, but both the Swiss Superman and the Celtic Warrior fought back the best they could, with Cesaro doing most of the muscle work, putting the Sharpshooter on both members of the New Day.

The champs' reign seemed to be at an end as Cesaro held Woods in the Sharpshooter with Sheamus constantly removing Big E from the ring. It was interference from Kofi Kingston landing a roundhouse kick to Sheamus that cost the New Day the victory, but with the disqualification, they retained their titles. This doesn't bode well for Cesaro and Sheamus' budding partnership.
