On Halloween, anything is possible. You can dress up as your favorite characters and don the too-tight suits of your favorite superhero. For most people, the holiday is chance to escape everyday life and slip into someone else's life for a day. However, Emily Bett Rickards gets to do that on a daily basis. The actress plays Felicity Smoak on Arrow, so she is used to seeing people dressed up as superheroes.

Maybe that's why she decided to forego a hero's costume this Halloween for one that may surprise you.

Rickards uploaded a photo of herself and a friend to Instagram that shows them in their costumes. The duo are dressed as two characters from The Matrix, Neo and Morpheus. Rickards shared the photo with an appropriate quote from the film which reads, "A world without rules or controls, borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."

The actress showed off her sleek Neo costume at a Halloween party. Rickards cropped, brown hair and all-black pantsuit certainly garnered attention from her friends, but no one could live up to one of her co-stars.

Colton Haynes hung out with Rickards at the party and stole the show with his sultry Muppets costume. However, his version of the beloved puppet is definitely an over-the-top NSFW reimagining. You only have to take a peek at the costume's plunging neckline to see why.

Hayne's costume features some rather large breasts and bouncy blonde girls. While that description might be appealing to some, the enticement ends once fans see Hayne's facial prosthetics. The actor is sporting a hyperrealistic pig's snout and neck piece which make his face look scary, to say at the least.

Over the years, Haynes has made himself into one of Hollywood's go-to Halloween gurus. Last year, the actor stunned fans with his Ursula costume. Before that, Haynes dressed up as an unflattering iteration of Shrek's Princess Fiona, an elderly grandmother, and Jeremy "Powder" Reed.

Obviously, Rickards and Haynes aren't the only celebrity celebrating Halloween this year. Earlier today, Patton Oswalt shared an adorable photo with his fans that show him in a father-daughter ensemble. The actor can be seen dressed up as Trigon from Teen Titans while his daughter is wearing a Raven costume. Other celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have also shared their rather risque outfits for the holiday. And, as always, Neil Patrick Harris showed off his family's over-the-top costumes which were inspired by classic Hollywood actors like Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe.

Most recently, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson showed off his Halloween spirit with a hilarious Pokemon costume. The actor dressed up as Pikachu and danced around in the cartoonish get-up to the delight of his daughter.
