Watch Superman Fight Dragon Ball's Super Saiyan Goku In This Fan Film

Who would win: Superman or a Super Saiyan? If you ever wondered whether Son Goku could take on Clark Kent, then you are not alone. Fans of both heroes have fan-cast fights between the two for years now. The insanely strong pair would be fun to watch in a fight, but canon concerns and licensing debacles would keep Goku from every going Super Saiyan on Superman - until now.

Over on Youtube, one determined fan have created a rather impressive animated short-film that pits the two characters together. So, if you are ready for the battle to begin, then press play.

Created by MaSTAR Media, "Goku vs Superman" is a 14-minute long fan-film that sees Krypton's Son wreck Goku and then get beat down in return. In true Dragon Ball style, the fight features wide scenery shots and over-dramatic reaction sequences. Fists and energy beams can be seen flying all over the place, and it keeps fans on their toes.

Seriously, you know it's going to be a good fight when Goku starts the battle out in his Super Saiyan Blue state.

While there's no reason as to why the two are fighting, both Goku and Superman rely on canon powers for the most part to take each other down. For instance, Goku uses his iconic 'kamehameha' move to absolutely destroy Superman during a pivotal moment to the latter's dismay. However, Superman fights back when he forces his fight with Goku higher into the stratosphere. His growing proximity to the sun recharges Superman's seemingly invincible powers, and even Goku is shocked by Superman's growth.

The video takes a few liberties of its own towards the end. Creative licensing allows Superman to rapidly take on a form known as Superman Prime. In the DC Comics canon, there is a so-called possible future that allows Superman to take on this insanely powerful state. Superman Prime (One Million) is known as the most powerful version of the character to ever exist - even if its canon is debatable.

If you are not familiar with the form, then all you need to know is that Superman originally gained it after living on the Sun for 15,000 years. You can just imagine how powerful the sun-sensitive hero became after vacationing on the planet for so long.

As for Goku, he straight-up enters the Super Saiyan White state and gets ready to kick some serious butt. He doesn't even bother with power limiters at this point in the battle with Superman.
