The Extended Edition of Suicide Squad has finally been released on Digital HD, and fans are loving the opportunity to finally see a lot of the footage that had been cut from the theatrical version.

The extended cut of the film is about 15 minutes longer than the original, and features a large amount of Joker footage that was missing in theaters. The new cut also included more scenes in which the squad interacts with each other, and helps with the overall pacing of the flick.

In one of the earlier scenes, specifically the one where the prison guards fed Killer Croc, the extended film features a little more diagloue on the front and back end. Before the goat is thrown down into the sewer, there was an added exchange between Griggs and another guard.

If you look closely, the face of this new guard is one that should be easily recognized. The guard is played by the film's director, David Ayer.

Many directors find a way to add themselves into their films. Quentin Tarantino has been know for giving himself small speaking roles in his movies, and you probably remember his "I know how good my coffee is" conversation with Samuel L. Jackson in his cult classic, Pulp Fiction. Ben Affleck takes things a step further, as he usually stars in the films he directs. Argo and The Town both featured Affleck as a director and lead actor. He has also signed on to direct two of his next starring roles, Live By Night and The Batman.

Suicide Squad Extended Edition is available on Digital HD now, so order your copy today!
