Marvel's Invincible Iron Man #2 Preview: Ironheart Soars

Marvel Comics has released a new preview of Invincible Iron Man #2, the second issue of the new Marvel NOW! series from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Stefano Caselli, and starring Riri Williams, soon to be known as Ironheart.

As a 15-year-old student in college, Riri Williams built a set of armor that could make her a superhero. Now, she just needs to learn how to use it. She thought she had a mentor in her hero, Tony Stark, but the events of Civil War II seemed to have taken that away from her.

Riri Williams already built her own suit of Iron Man armor. Now she has the perfect artificial intelligence to help her pilot it: Tony Stark's downloaded consciousness.

Now that she has a version of Tony Stark in her corner as a mentor, will Riri be able to strike out on her own as the new Iron Man?

Invincible Iron Man #2 goes on sale in comic book stores and on digital comics apps on Dec. 21, 2016.

In addition, Invincible Iron Man #1, the first issue of Riri Williams' ongoing series that launched as part of Marvel NOW!, is headed back to comic shops with a new printing. From Bendis and Caselli, the second printing of Invincible Iron Man #1 goes on sale on Dec. 28, 2016.
