People Really Hate The Walking Dead Lately
The Walking Dead's seventh season has come under quite a bit of scrutiny, lately. Season 7 has [...]
Season 2
@BrandonDavisBD @ComicBook Last night's Tara-centric episode was even less compelling than the S2 search for Sophia.
— Suzanne Bell (@ChazensJezebel) November 28, 2016
In defense of Swear, the episode may have felt more compelling if there weren't more interesting (and pressing) matters going on around the rest of the apocalypse. Tara's encounter with Oceanside was an intense, yet still fun, hour of television but with fans focused on Rick and Negan's future, they're tough to satisfy with anything else.
@BrandonDavisBD Once in a while, it's fine and necessary. This season it's been pretty much every episode. Too much.
— Suzanne Bell (@ChazensJezebel) November 28, 2016
The same fan agrees, single-focus episodes are acceptable but are happening too often in Season 7.
@ChazensJezebel @BrandonDavisBD I just think these bottled ones are need to fully introduce us to the new places and people
— Travis McIntyer (@TraviTravMc) November 28, 2016
On the contrary, some fans appreciate the bottle episodes
prevnextSloppy?
@BrandonDavisBD no, no. I feel like they are doing a sloppy job trying to go from point a to point b in a story telling sense..
— Shaun Frye (@_shaunfrye_) November 28, 2016
Some fans are outright blaming the writers for their dissatisfaction with The Walking Dead Season 7. Shaun Frye says the team is doing a "sloppy job"of telling the story so far this season -- clearly not a fan of the bottled episodes.
@BrandonDavisBD @ComicBook Did all of the Hollywood writers go on strike?
— Blondie (@BlondieTVJunkie) November 28, 2016
And on the other hand, some fans feel like the show has given up.

Giving Up
@BrandonDavisBD @ComicBook Didn´t even bother watching
— Borumir (@Epicsocka) November 28, 2016
The ratings have shown that the threats of abandoning the show if Glenn died were nto empty, seeing the 17 million to 12.4 million viewership drop from Week 1 to Week 2 but the bottled episodes may have turned other off from watching since.
#TheWalkingDead AWFUL Episode. Boring. Last 2 episodes were a Waste of time. Great Characters like Negan, and King Lion, why this crap?
— Peter Mazzella (@MazzellaPeter) November 28, 2016
Clearly, some people want to see more of Ezekiel and the other compelling characters already introduced in Season 7, rather than meeting more characters.
@TheWalkingDead worst episode of the entire series
— cody carlisle (@codys4ou) November 28, 2016
Worst episode ever?
prevnextWhat an absolutely horrible episode of #TheWalkingDead. #FillerEpisodeAlert

7 out of 10
@BrandonDavisBD @ComicBook #Tara Sand walkers,female survivors, oceanside,betrayal,dried fish #FlipOffAKid #BobbleHead #lostlove #Solid7/10
— ☕Denise Esterline⚓ (@deniselynne1966) November 28, 2016
Other fans found the positives from Swear. Denise Esterline was satisfied by "sand walkers, female survivors, Oceanside, betrayal, dried fish" and Tara flipping off a kid. After all, the episode was not a bad episode as stated earlier. Some fans will appreciate it for what it was while others clearly developed frustration because of the timing.
Esterline's opinion is one which is shared by several fans, which clearly consist.

@BrandonDavisBD Sort of. I've absolutely loved 702, and 705 and 706
— Rick Grimmy (@BryceAlford2) November 28, 2016
Twitter user Rick Grimmy is a huge fan of the bottle episodes. 702, 705, and 706 followed Ezekiel, Maggie, and Tara, respectively, and satisfied this fan as a result.
@BrandonDavisBD I like them, they are important. We don't need Rick every episode and it allows others to step up
— Zuri A. (@JustZuri_) November 28, 2016
Others agree, the bottle episodes are important parts of The Walking Dead's story which will pay off further down the line.
Go Tara! Great episode! #TheWalkingDead
— Diego Escobar (@diescobarmdq) November 28, 2016
Some fans love them some Tara.
prev#TheWalkingDead #AMC Great season, great episode, great build up to the bigger things to come.
