Jurassic World took audiences by storm last year, but there hasn't been much spoken about the upcoming sequel since, aside from the fact that there will most certainly be one.

While plot details haven't been revealed (as they are most likely still being decided upon), actress Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising her role as Claire. In a recent interview with CBR, she was asked about the status of the next film in the franchise, and if any story has been solidified yet.

"Oh, yeah, yeah. Very much so, yeah. And that's what's so cool about "Jurassic." Even with the first, when I came on board the first one, I think at least a year before we even started shooting. Colin [Trevorrow] was always so inclusive and collaborative, so that has continued with this next one."

Returning alongside Howard will be Chris Pratt, who played Owen in the previous entry. "The script is awesome," says Howard. "I saw Chris [Pratt] this week. I've seen everyone in London recently. Yeah, we're talking about details now. We're, like, down to the details. It's pretty exciting. It's going to be the first time that I've ever gone back to something. My husband [Seth Gabel] works predominantly in TV. I'm always like, "Ah, you're working with your friends again. You're so lucky!" I feel very lucky."

Jurassic World left things off in an interesting place, so it will be interesting to see how the studio gets all of the characters involved again. Director Juan Antonio Bayona recently described his vision for the next entry, and that it will be both a sequel to Jurassic World and another sizable entry in the Jurassic Park franchise as a whole.

"I think somehow it's both," Bayona said. "What we're doing is a sequel to Jurassic World, but it's definitely the fifth chapter of a longer saga. It's very interesting. It's always tricky, but you need to find a balance in what people expect to find, and the new stuff you're bringing to the story. And I think the story is looking for a connection between Jurassic World and Jurassic Park -- more than what Jurassic World did."

Jurassic World 2 is dated for June 22, 2018.
