Tonight, The Walking Dead will return to televisions for its midseason finale. So far, Season 7 has been an intense ride for Rick Grimes and his group of survivors. When the season kicked off, Negan and the Saviors fundamentally altered the group when he took Lucille to two main characters, Abraham and Glenn. Episode eight will likely leave fans hanging on yet another thrilling cliffhanger, so fans are already wanting to know when the show will return. And, as always, ComicBook.com has the answer.

After tonight's midseason finale, The Walking Dead will return to AMC on February 12, 2017 with episode nine. The second-half of Season 7 will kick off at 9:00 p.m. ET as usual and pick up wherever episode eight leaves off.
So far, there's no word on what the second-half of The Walking Dead's Season 7 will entail, but it will surely be as violent and dramatic as episodes one-seven have been. Hopefully, the series' return will also help boost the show and its lagging ratings. Last week, The Walking Dead's rating were up some from the previous. Earlier in November, the show had its lowest ratings since Season 3 debuted, so a change in pace would be welcomed by AMC.
The official synopsis for Season 7 of The Walking Dead lies below. AMC described the first-half of the season as "fractured" and "bereaved," so what do you think the latter part will have in store for fans?
"Up until this point, our characters have lived through conflicts... Disease, hunger, scores of the undead, tragedy, betrayal, and unthinkable loss. Through this, they've become formidable. Powerful. Unstoppable.
To start Season Seven, that power is taken away. They had found safety and stability. They had created a home. They thought the world was theirs. They thought they knew the world. They were wrong.
The first half of Season Seven sees our group fractured, broken, bereaved, and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his control, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don't.
Other characters are unaware of what's happened, but have become separated from the group either by incident or choice -- they will learn that they can't escape this new turn of their world, either. This half season is about these characters starting over.
The overall theme of the season is beginning again. The world isn't what they thought it was. It's bigger and it's even more dangerous."
