Last week, fans were beside themselves when Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios finally released the first trailers for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The anticipated film stunned fans with its snappy, action-packed footage, but the videos did neglect to show off something fans had been looking forward to seeing. Ever since Tom Holland's Spider-Man debuted in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been wondering whether they would see the Spider-Signal reappear after its cameo in an end credit scene.

Fans had hoped they'd see the tech make a comeback in the new trailers, but there was no such thing to be found. The only upgrades fans were shown came courtesy of Tony Stark and his webbed-wings suit. Of course, the signal could be incorporated into the new get-up, but fans were not shown any evidence of that.
Of course, the studios may feel like the last teaser about the Spider-Signal was enough to hold off fans until the movie drops next year. In the end credit scene of Civil War, fans see Peter Parker back home in Queens lounging in his bedroom. At one point, he fiddles around with a piece of small tech which then shines a familiar light onto the hero's ceiling. The image is the one comic readers will recognize from Spider-Man's iconic signal. The powerful light has been canonically used to announce his presence to criminals before he webs them to the nearest wall, so fans were interested in the teaser.
As for whether fans will see the signal being used, it seems like the answer is yes. The teaser in Civil War was too blatant to be a red herring, and fans already know that Tony Stark is willing to gift Spider-Man tech upgrades. The trailer also showed the teenage superhero teaming up with Iron Man, so Peter Parker may use his newly acquired Spider-Signal to plead for the armored Avengers help when it comes to taking down the Vulture.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast features Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, Hannibal Buress, and Jacob Batalon.
The film is being directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), based on a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (Vacation reboot) and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.
The film is produced by Marvel boss Kevin Feige and former Sony boss Amy Pascal. Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Jeremy Latcham, and Stan Lee are serving as Executive Producers.
