Seth Rollins may have made his way closer to Triple H when he defeated future WWE Hall of Famer Chris Jericho at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line. While Jericho put on another stellar peformance in the 140th PPV match of his career, it was Kevin Owens who inadvertently cost his (former?) best friend the match with Seth Rollins.

Jericho has had his best year in recent memory and the crowd at the PPG Paints arena was clearly split with their affections for Y2J and the former architect of the Shield.

Jericho nearly pulled off a 3 count after connecting on his pattened lion-sault, but Rollins was able to kick out. The match was filled with some brillaint counter sequences, including when Jericho managed to counter the pedigree into the Walls of Jericho, which Rollins then countered into a small package.

Trying to make amends with his friend, Owens ended up distracting the referee and Chris Jericho long enough to allow Seth Rollins to connect with a pedigree and pick up the three count.

Will Chris Jericho repay the favor for his old pal in the main event between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns?

More on this story as it develops.
