What is a LMD? Marvel took to the streets of New York to ask random people and get what are, on balance, pretty funny and strange answers.
By the end of the video, though, if you didn't already know what a Life Model Decoy is, you will have not only heard the phrase but a pretty good description of its meaning...and of course, because this is Marvel, you will have seen Stan Lee make a cameo.
...But is it the real Stan Lee, or just a Life Model Decoy? The world may never know.
The video comes as part of the run-up to Marvel's Agents of SHIELD taking on LMDs in a big way during the second half of their currently-ongoing fourth season. The storyline will have to deliver in a big way to top the Ghost Rider arc that kicked off the season, which generated some of the best buzz the series has had to date.
The LMD story arc begins in tonight's midseason premiere episode, "Broken Promises."
