In the back half of Arrow season 5, series star Stephen Amell has been hinting that there could be a lot more focus on Oliver Queen, Star City Mayor.
Now, it seems, it won't be supporting characters or the flashbacks that will be toned down in response to that increase, but some of Oliver's late-night adventuring.
"[There are a] couple of episodes coming up that are really fun," Amell told fans during a Facebook Live broadcast earlier tonight. "Couple of episodes that I'm barely in the Arrow suit, which is not to say that the action is lower, it's just different."
Oliver's professional life seems likely to take center stage for good reason: not only is there a lot of work that will have to be done during the day to exonerate John Diggle, who is currently in military custody facing trumped-up charges, but Green Arrow has been having a hard time with the ultra-violent Vigilante, who (if the comics and previous interviews with the actor are anything to go by) will turn out to be Star City District Attorney Adrian Chase.
There's also the matter of Oliver's potential new love interest (?), Susan Williams, who is a reporter looking into alleged ties between the mayor and Russian mob figures (and the flashback story about his relationship with Russian mob figures).
