New OJ Simpson Docuseries Poses Game Changing Possibility That Says Two Assailants Were Involved

In 1994, O.J. Simpson was charged with the two murders and found not guilty of both crimes. The ruling was highly controversial at the time, and decades later, both American Crime Story - The People vs. O.J. Simpson and O.J.: Made in America gave us some of the most compelling and fascinating entertainment of the year. Continuing that tradition, Is O.J. Innocent? The Missing Evidence will premiere this Sunday and it introduces an all-new theory on who pulled off the murders.

The upcoming six-part docuseries is theorizing that it wasn't just one suspect who pulled off the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, but that there were two assailants in the mix.

According to one investigator, "What's really important is the fact that we have two sets of bloody footprints, both coming and going [from the crime scene]," who then adds, "Even if you took the position that one of them is O.J. Simpson, who the hell is the other one?"

Despite O.J. being cleared of criminal charges, he lost a civil case in which he was found civilly responsible for the duo's death and paid $33.5 million to surviving family members.

Is O.J. Innocent? The Missing Evidence explores the idea that, even if he did take part in the murders, he may have had an accomplice to pull them off.

The new docuseries will premiere this Sunday at 9:00 PM ET on Investigation Discovery.
