Called 'The Butler Sets Sail,' the semi-formal party saw more than 2,000 fans go waterside for the anticipated film. Taking off from Tokyo's Hinode Pier, thousands of fans were offered a view of the bay throughout the weekend where they ate fine meals and sampled the anime's newest film.

Naturally, plenty of attendees came dressed in their best cosplay outfits, and fans were not the only ones who came dressed to impress. As passengers boarded, they were split into alternating groups where half would preview the film whilst the other got to enjoy a fine French meal. At the movie's premiere, voice actors Sakamoto Maaya and Ono Daisuke were there to greet fans.

The former, who voices Ciel Phantomhive, had this to say to the crowd: "In addition to showing the film Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic, which will finally be opening on Jan. 21, this party is being held on board so everyone can experience the atmosphere of the liner in the movie for themselves. This trip is just under four hours, but please enjoy yourselves and relax."

"This is an order for Sebastian. Everyone here is an important guest to me. Treat them well and don't bring shame upon the name Phantomhive," she continued.

Naturally, Daisuke responded as he voices the demonic butler. "Yes, my lord. Well then, everyone, let the party begin. Set reality aside for this short while until we return to the port, as I guide you to first-rate entertainment that will weave together the young master, a luxurious liner, and moving corpses."
