Fans are used to seeing previews of upcoming Marvel Studios films when they go to the theater, which will be the (hopeful) case again when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 possibly has a Thor: Ragnarok trailer in front of it. You might be surprised however the next time you're at the theater, as movies aren't the only thing you're going to be seeing from Marvel on the big screen.
That's because Marvel has just announced that they will start advertising their comics division on the big and small screens. Fans will start seeing a new push from Marvel this weekend, as the upcoming Marvel event Secret Empire will be getting promoted in front of the current big releases, as well as the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Fans will also start seeing the promotions on the Disney-owned ABC, but other networks will carry them as well. Dedicated TV spots, interviews, and more will be featured in this campaign and will include books like Secret Empire and the upcoming X-Men ResurrXion books.
The comics have taken several aspects of the successful films and incorporated them into the universe, and many of the films have been overwhelmingly inspired by the books that came before them. It's good to see Marvel giving the medium that started it all (and continues to feed their studio) some much-needed love.

The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin.
