Aquaman is gearing up to begin production this summer but before the cameras start to roll, director James Wan is busy scouting possible filming locations.

The Insidious and Saw alum took to Instagram today to share four images, all of which — believe it or not — show islands with beautiful scenery. Wan didn't happen to tag any locations in the posts, but commenters in the second photo believe the island is a part of Indonesia while several commenters on the third picture noted it appears to include a Hawaiian island.

As Wan captioned his last photo with "This ain't Skull Island," the director could simply make a reference this the Kong reboot that debuted this past weekend or he could be scouting a place that was used in the filming of the movie. If that's the case, Aquaman could be heading to Vietnam or Queensland as well as both of those locations were used in the filming of Kong: Skull Island.

While waiting for filming on his solo movie to begin, actor Jason Momoa has filmed scenes for Zack Snyder's Justice League, which is slated to debut this November. Snyder shared a quick clip of Momoa in action last week, our second underwater look at the King of Atlantis after his brief cameo in Batman vs. Superman.

Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface. Also starring is Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

James Wan will direct Aquaman from a screenplay written by Will Beall, based on a treatment by Wan and DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns. Albert Cho is 1st AD. Producers are Jon Berg, Geoff Johns, Peter Safran, Deborah Snyder, and Zack Snyder. Rob Cowan will serve as executive producer.
