The CW has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive clip from tonight's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, titled "Doomworld."
In the clip, we find out where Jax, Stein, and Ray ended up in the brave new world created at the end of last week's episode.
After obtaining the Spear of Destiny, the Legion of Doom rewrites reality, leaving the Legends changed, perhaps forever. Frightfully, the Legends' and the world's hopes rest with Rory (Dominic Purcell), but being the "hero" is not easy for him. Meanwhile, there is tension within the Legion of Doom and the reason why the Spear of Destiny needs to be destroyed is revealed.
Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Sarah Hernandez.
We fully expected to dig around through the DC Wiki and find some kind of lost reference to "Doomworld," but it didn't happen. That said, the concept alone is pretty familiar to readers who have experience with anything from hard sci-fi time travel stories to the second volume of Booster Gold, where a villain can get enough power to essentially remake the world in their own image.
It seems the universe's hopes lie in the idea that all of the messing with his mind that the Time Masters did when Mick was Chronos could pay some kind of unexpected dividend here.
In any event, it's not surprising that Rory would be the one to have to step up: all season long he's been surprising people in various ways, and those rumors from over the summer that Captain Cold would eventually join the Legion of Doom have yet to come to fruition...!
Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC's Legends of Tomorrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Marc Guggenheim (Arrow, Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash, Eli Stone, Warehouse 13), Phil Klemmer (The Tomorrow People, Chuck), Chris Fedak (Forever, Chuck), and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, The Flash).
