Disney and Marvel executives have been drilling home the point that when Avengers: Infinity War premieres late next year, it's going to be the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe of the past ten years.

That said, it makes perfect sense to include most — if not all — of the characters we've met in the MCU up to this point. Thanks to a quick tweet today courtesy of actor Jeremy Renner, we now know that Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, will be making an appearance as the Avengers take on the Mad Titan himself — Thanos.

Infinity War marks the fifth time Renner will show up on the silver screen as Barton, after appearances in Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and Captain America: Civil War (2016). Within the MCU as it stands, Barton is currently a fugitive on the run as he joined Captain America's live action version of the Secret Avengers group opposes the Sokovia Accords.

Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to release in theaters May 4, 2018.
