Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) is blowing up in popularity, with games like Pokemon Go, and VR becoming more affordable and accessible. With the progression in technology we now can turn our phones into VR devices as well. But Pokemon isn't the only anime franchise to control the market anymore, Dragon Ball Z has licensed its own VR experience. Dragon Ball Z fans can now KAMEHAMEHA next to Goku, and blast classic DBZ villains.

Japanese toy company Mega House has announced the release of the Capsule Corporation VR headset. The headset holds a smart phone and lets you experience Dragon Ball first hand with the Dragon Ball Z VR experience app. The full set doesn't just come with a headset, it also comes with hand sensors and a special VR mat. You can see how to whole set up looks and works in the commercial above.

The commercial shows two kids running around playing Dragon Ball make believe as the father smiles from the table. The doorbell then rings and the father runs excitingly to the door and takes a package secretly into his room. He then struts out confidently wearing a capsule corpse branded VR glasses, and hand sensors. Then he continues to let out a classic kamehameha while holding the pose and laughing from what he sees in the virtual world. It then cuts to his view, and what the assumed game play will look like. He is transported to a Dragon Ball Z fighting ground and Goku greets him. The father looks down at his own virtual reality hands and then battles side by side with Goku against the legendary Freeza. The commercial then shows clips of flying, different destinations in the Dragon Ball universe, and a facial recognition Scouter. It looks like every Dragon Ball fan's dream.

The Dragon Ball Z VR bundle will be released in Japan in June, and is priced at 12,000 Yen, or $110. Hopefully after its initially release in Japan it will make it's way to the West, for American Dragon Ball fans.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
