After Illumination Studios took some time to explore the origins of everyone's favorite henchmen, the Minions are back alongside their reformed-supervillain boss Gru in Despicable Me 3.
The new movie will feature the character voiced by Steve Carell meeting his brother Dru, also voiced by Steve Carell, as they go up against the '80s-obsessed madman Balthazar Bratt. Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, and Steve Coogan return to the voice cast, joined by newcomers Jenny Slate and South Park creator Trey Parker, who is voicing the villainous Bratt.
Of course, director Pierre Coffin returns to voice the Minions as he has in every film thus far.
The new clip focuses on Gru's yellow-skinned goons as they get used to life on the inside. The Minions seem to adapt pretty well to prison, starting their own flash mob and dominate the showers.
Other previews have indicated that the Minions descend in a downward spiral of depression after Gru's heroic turn, preferring the glamours life of heisting and thievery over rescuing laymen and stopping bad guys.
It also hints at Gru's return to villainy, promising more of the same action and antics that made the original Despicable Me films (and the Minions spinoff) loved across the globe.
Despicable Me 3 hits theaters June 30.

Despicable Me 3 will be directed by Kyle Balda, Pierre Coffin, and Eric Guillon, with Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul handling the screenplay. The film stars Steve Carell (Gru / Dru), Kristen Wiig (Lucy Wilde), Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Dana Gaier (Edith), Nev Scharrel (Agnes), Trey Parker (Balthazar Bratt), Russell Brand (Dr. Nefario), Andy Nyman (Clive), Pierre Coffin (Kevin the Minion / Bob the Minion / Stuart the Minion / additional Minions) and Michael Beattie (The Scar-Faced Man).
