If you have been waiting for any updates on season two of One Punch Man, then your time has come. Earlier this year, fans of the parodic shonen series were sent into a tizzy when news broke that production had started on the anime. Now, fans can rest assured knowing that the anime will have some stellar theme music. According to a new report, it seems like JAM Project has confirmed they will do the image theme song for One Punch Man's next season.

The announcement gave little details about the band or what kind of song they would be doing for season two. When One Punch Man debuted its first season, JAM Project created the song "The Hero" to get fans hyped. The image theme was meant to give fans a glimpse at Saitama's overall character, so the single was aptly named.

If you are not familiar with image songs, then you should know the concept is very popular with anime titles. Often sung by a character's voice actor, image songs help cross-promote anime titles to the general public. The catchy songs are often tied to a character's overall story arc in an anime or season. The singles are meant to be accessible enough for any music listener to bop along with it, but anime fans will be able to derive deeper meaning about their favorite characters from the song.

Depending on One Punch Man's direction next season, JAM Project's new image song could go a variety of ways. However, there is one thing that fans are all agree on: it better be one powerful tune.

You can check out One Punch Man's synopsis from Viz Media below:

"Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem—he just can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on!"
