Not only will four years have passed between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the time the Guardians of the Galaxy join the Avengers to take on the Mad Titan Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel's ragtag group of misfits will have evolved and grown as a team as well.

While talking to CinemaBlend, the man at the top over at Marvel Studios says the team will have evolved slightly by the time they take on Thanos.

"Yeah. They will have evolved slightly, in some recognizable ways," Feige reflected. "but really, they'll be the Guardians and dealing with the s**t storm they have to deal with."

While there wasn't any further explanation on how the team will have matured, it should be safe to say the team members will have evolved both in the physical — we're looking at you, Baby Groot — and emotional sense, as they would have had a handful of years to mesh and become a tight-knit family.

Feige has previously said that in true Guardians fashion, the team would remain a source of humor in what should be dark movie as Thanos goes on his rampage across the universe. Could Feige perhaps mean the group evolves to the point where Drax finally starts picking up even the toughest metaphors? Only time will tell as Infinity War hits theaters next year.
