Stan Lee is a man of many cameos. The comic book icon is best known for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Lee has also popped into other studios' takes on the X-Men and Spider-Man. And, now, producer Bryan Singer is teasing fans about Lee's cameo in Fox's upcoming X-Men series.

The show, which is tentatively known as Gifted, has already started production. In the past, producer Lauren Shuler Donner shared an image from the set which shows the project hustling along. Now, Singer has shared his own image of Lee posing for a picture behind-the-scenes.

"Shooting my 3rd cameo with my epic friend @therealstanlee a few weeks ago at the famous #doublwide #bar in #Dallas #Texas. My first cameo with Stan was in #Xmen 1, nearly two decades ago in #malibu, he's a man of unstoppable energy and humor."

The new X-Men series follows Kate and Reed Stewart, two human parents who discover that their children are mutants. The family is forced to go on the run from an anti-mutant government and eventually meet up with an underground mutant resistance movement led by a mutant called Sam. The government has the mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels, which were previously seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past, at its disposal. Other X-Men from the Marvel Comics universe, including Polaris and Blink, are expected to appear.

'Gifted' is currently in production and was developed by Matt Nix, who wrote the pilot episode. X-Men movies veteran Bryan Singer will direct. Nix and Singer, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jim Chory, and Jeph Loeb will all serve as executive producers. The pilot stars Redford, Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Jamie Chung, Sean Teale, Natalie Alyn Lind, Emma Dumont, Percy Hynes White, and Coby Bell.

"Gifted" will be the second X-Men television project to enter production following the drama Legion which has been renewed for a second season.
