The CW has released a dozen stills and an extended trailer for next Monday's "City of Lost Children" episode of Supergirl.
Understandably, Kara was a little preoccupied with Alex getting kidnapped and having her life hanging by a thread to focus on whatever was troubling Lena Luthor. However, because Kara didn't give her friend the attention she needed when she called, Lena decided to go into business with Queen Rhea, helping to create a new transmatter portal on Earth.
The last one we saw was used to bring people to Slaver's Moon, but Rhea has other plans. She wants cities to burn, nations to fall, and children to cry. And when they inevitably ask, 'Why is this happening?' If Rhea is successful, it is Supergirl who will be blamed, hated by the people of Earth.
When an alien attacks National City, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO learn the alien is a Phorian, an otherwise peaceful race with telekinetic powers. Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) gets a lead on the Phorian's address but instead of finding the culprit, he finds a very scared boy named Marcus (guest star Lonnie Chavis). Marcus will only trust James so it is up to Guardian to stop the attacks on the city. Rhea's (Teri Hatcher) plan escalates.
Ben Bray directed the episode with story by Robert Rovner and teleplay by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn.
