When Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuted two weeks ago, movie goers were treated to a film that combined the traditional tongue-in-cheek humor with very emotional undertones as the heroes faced growing pains — both personal and as a team.

As the movie neared its end, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) made the realization that even though Ego (Kurt Russell) was his biological father, Yondu (Michael Rooker) served the dad role best. And the realization came too late for Peter to tell Yondu how he really felt, Yondu had already sacrificed himself so that Peter could live.

Following the emotional moment, the Guardians gathered on their ship to pay their final respects at Yondu's funeral. And one actor had a hard time making it through the scene, for reasons you might not have guessed.

"I have some very funny video of Chris giving his speech and crying and in the middle of that, Rooker falling asleep," Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn said in a live Q&A session held on Facebook this weekend. "He didn't fall asleep once. He fell asleep 10 times."

You read that right, Michael Rooker fell asleep during his character's funeral nearly a dozen times. Here's to hoping Gunn & Co. put together a quick snippet of a snoring Rooker on the movie's gag reel.
