The latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, promises to be one of the biggest spectacles in the entire series, thanks to the many advancements of special effects. More than just special effects techniques, the entire process of making a movie has changed drastically over the last few decades, and along with it, editing techniques to draw in an audience. The folks over at Screen Crush wanted to give Star Wars fans a blast from the past by editing the Last Jedi trailer to look more similar to the original films' trailers.
The above trailer might not be the appropriate editing for the tone of The Last Jedi, but the similarities to the original films' marketing are quite accurate and you can't help but be reminded of the first time you saw those trailers.
Although the re-edited trailer above might feel nostalgic, the recent news in the world of The Last Jedi is that it promises to reveal the most shocking revelation in the franchise's history.
