2K piqued our interest today with its earnings report. It revealed that it has multiple huge projects in the works, and finally confirmed that the next installment in its flagship wrestling series will be hitting consoles this fall. Check it out:

We assumed as much, but in this season of high-profile delays it's nice to know that we can at least count on something that we've been dying to get our hands on. 2K took the WWE license and created one of the best wrestling games we've every played in WWE 2K17, but there is still room for improvement. Primarily, fans were hoping to see a lot more variety with their created wrestlers, with more moves and a more significant career mode.

Over time WWE 2K17 was fleshed out and ended up including pretty much every significant wrestler in WWE history on the roster. Complete editions of the game are often on sale and can be had at really attractive prices, and we expect that trends to continue as WWE 2K18 draws even nearer.

As for WWE 2K18, we're still waiting to learn more like you guys are. It's likely that we'll get an info dump during SummerSlam, but hopefully we'll get the basics during E3 next month. It's worth holding your breath for a trailer or some features and roster listings, but we haven't heard anything official from our partners at Take-Two Interactive (which owns 2K).

To whet your appetite, the folks over at WrestlingNewsSource have picked up on a recent scan of AJ Styles done by Pixelgun Studio. The studio scanned in the wrestler, apparently to test out their new 3D printer, but some are speculating whether the resulting model could end up being used in WWE 2K18. It's not much, but it could be something.

As soon as we learn more about WWE 2K18 or its official release date, we'll let you know straight away. Stay tuned to WWG.
