Quantum Physicist Claims Ant-Man Could Beat Superman

Now that Superheroes have become pop-culture fixations, it seems like everyone is getting in on the sorts of nerdy conversations that used to be reserved for the geek crowd. Case in point, a Quantum Physicist has just made a bold claim that will have DC and Marvel fans going back and forth in debate: Ant-Man can beat Superman in a fight!
Dr. Spiros Michalakis, of the California Institute of Technology, was recently talking to Inverse (via SR) about his experience being Marvel Studios' consultant on the Ant-Man movie. In that conversation, he discussed creating Ant-Man's shrinking powers, and what those powers actually mean. According to Michalakis:
"When I was looking to inject elements of modern physics into the script, I brought up this idea that, when Ant-Man goes into the Microverse... This is a place where the nature of reality changes around you. So, when you enter the quantum realm, its different set of laws takes hold."
The doctor went a step further, describing (in terms that will probably go over a lot of people's heads) how Ant-Man being in the Quantum Realm gives him a distinct tactical advantage. In the Quantum Realm, Ant-Man would not be beholden to the laws of physics we know - law superheroes are still governed by, even if superheroes like Superman can bend those laws (with things like flight).
As Michalakis explains:
"What I'm saying is that potentially understanding the quantum code from which curvature of space-time comes from, [Ant-Man] could manipulate to increase it or decrease it." Superman has, in the canon of the DC Universe, lifted 200 quintillion tons. But if Ant-Man had a way, he could crush Superman with 201 tons... Ant-Man could have created say, a black hole. Could Superman escape the black hole? Probably not. Then game over."
Like we said: this may be scientific theory, but it's going to be one hell of a big fan debate. It's an interesting thing to note about the character of Ant-Man, however: Some Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have speculated that Paul Rudd's Ant-Man, and his access to the Quantum Realm, could turn out to be crucial to defeating an all-powerful foe like Avengers: Infinity War villain, Thanos (Josh Brolin). Based on what Dr. Micahlakis says, Scott Lang/Ant-Man could indeed pose a threat to the Mad Titan that no one expected.
Ant-Man will next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018 - followed by Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018.
Superman will next be seen in Justice League on November 17, 2017 - followed by Man of Steel 2, on a date TBD.
