Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is going to be pounding on some unfortunate actor when the time comes for Black Adam to take on Shazam in the latter's self-titled film in the DC Extended Universe. The People's Champ has been in line to portray Black Adam for months, yet there is still no word on who will play Shazam.
While Johnson isn't responsible for casting the film, he does have a suggestion for who should be appearing opposite him in the film.
"But for example, I'm going to throw out a name out there, and I want to see how the fans will react to it," Johnson said in a recent interview. "A guy who I met, I went 'Wow! That guy is such a cool guy! He is a lot bigger than I thought he would be' And when I walked away, I remember telling our producer, who I have worked with for a long time, we both looked at each other and was like 'Possibly Shazam?!' and we went 'Yes!'. I'm not even going to say his name, I'm just going to say Lone Ranger."
He was referring to Armie Hammer. It didn't take long for the Internet to respond by creating some awesome fan art of Johnson as Black Adam taking on Hammer as Shazam.
The photo comes from an artist operating on Instagram under the name of Slamon Artworks, captioning the photo, "Black Adam fights Shazam, The Rock's request is sure to be seen."
Whether or not Johnson will get his wish of Hammer playing the role... Only time will tell.
