Mobile Suit Gundam fans strap in, because it's time to launch back into to your favorite series. Popular streaming giant Crunchyroll has added Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and Mobile Suit Gundam Destiny to its catalog. So now you can see your favorite robot fighting action in HD thanks to Crunchyroll and Nozomi Entertainment.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed was directed by Mitsuo Fukuda at Sunrise and was first released back in 2002. Seed was the first Gundam series to take place in the future Cosmic era. The show was so popular that three compilation films were spun off from it, as well as a manga and light novel. If you are unfamiliar with the story behind Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Crunchyroll describes the show below:

In Cosmic Era (C.E.) 70... "The tensions mounted between the Earth Alliance and the ZAFT Forces caused by the 'Bloody Valentine' tragedy have erupted into an all-out war." The Earth Alliance's mobile armor forces and tanks launch...mobile suits are destroyed one after another... "It seemed a foregone conclusion that the Earth Alliance, with its superior numbers, would be victorious. But this initial assessment proved to be false. Almost 11 months have passed since the conflict began, with no end in sight...

The other series that has been remastered and added to Crunchyroll's ever growing catalog is Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny. The series is a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and was made with most of the same staff as the first. It was set two years after the end of the source show, and was first released in Japan in 2004. Much like Gundam Seed, the show was highly popular and received lots of praise in Japan. Crunchyroll describes the show's story below:

In the year C.E.70, the conflict between the Z.A.F.T. Forces and the O.M.N.I. Enforcer has erupted into armed warfare of the highest intensity in the wake of the "Bloody Valentine" catastrophe. An armistice is signed following the Second Battle of Yakin Deyue, which saw massive casualties. Shinn Asuka finds himself caught up in the O.M.N.I. Enforcers' Orb Operation, and sees his parents and sister killed before his very eyes by the fighting. He grieves, clutching his sister's cell phone, the only thing left to him, while the "MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM", the cause of all the fighting, flies away.
