Get ready, anime fans! Fullmetal Alchemist is gearing up to drop some new footage on fans. The acclaimed series has wrapped its manga and anime tenure, but Fullmetal Alchemist continues to live on. Warner Bros. Japan will release the franchise's first live-action adaptation later this year, and fans have been impressed by what they have seen so far. Now, the studio has confirmed new footage is on its way, and it will come during the film's press tour.

Over on Twitter, the official account for Fullmetal Alchemist just dropped the news for fans. The film's first international press tour stop will be at Anime Expo in Los Angeles this July. The event will see stars Yamada Ryo appear and introduce a sneak-peek of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. The screening will take place on July 3rd before the crew jets to Paris for an exhibition.

France will host its Japan Expo the week of July 7th, and Yamada will be present to introduce new footage at the event as well. After the premiere, the gang will then return to Tokyo for a fan meet-up where the cast and crew will answer questions. So far, no footage is set to premiere at the Japanese event, but that is subject to change.

So far, two trailers for Fullmetal Alchemist have been released. A teaser was dropped late last year before a full trailer hit the Internet a few months back. The latest video showed both Edward and Alphonse Elric as children as they attempted to perform human alchemy. Both trailers have only shown the two leads and the film's European scenery. Fans are hoping supporting characters like Winry and Roy Mustang will be shown in the new footage Warner Bros. Japan is planning to debut come July.

If you are not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, then you have plenty of time to watch the anime before its live-action film arrives. The series follows brothers Edward and Alphonse after their mother tragically passes. They attempt to use alchemy to resurrect her, but the attempt takes Edward's arm and leg - and it takes Alphonse's entire body. Determined to get their bodies restored, Edward and Alphonse try to become State Alchemists so they can find the location of a powerful item known as the Philosopher's Stone. But their journey ultimately leads them into a seedy world of government corruption and mass genocide.

This year, fans of the shonen series will be able to see more of the Elric Brothers than they have for some time. In December, Warner Bros. Japan will release the first live-action adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist.

Fullmetal Alchemist will debut in Japan on December 1.
