Last weekend, Dragon Ball Super fans watched as the series delivered a solid episode about Universe 6 & 7. Kale may have stolen the show when she learned she could channel Broly when she went Super Saiyan, but Goku was no pushover. The hero saw himself head down to Hell to revive Freeza after asking the alien to fight with him in the Tournament of Power. Now, the fan-favorite villain is set to take over next week, and his return will cause mutiny amongst Goku's friends.
Not long ago, the new synopsis for Dragon Ball Supers next episode dropped online for fans to scan. You can read the episode synopsis of "Resurrection of the Evil Emperor! The Mysterious Awaiting Assassins?!" below:
"Final preparations right before the "Tournament of Power"!! Trunks and Goten look after things while No.17 is away The Universe 7 members make final arrangements before the main event. Goku entrusts Goten and Trunks to look after things while No.17 is away (a condition of No.17's participation), and heads to the afterlife to see Freeza?!
Goku goes to meet Freeza! Goku's friends strongly object to Freeza joining the fight. Can Goku safely recruit him?!
Sidra This Week: attacking Freeza?! Universe 9's Sidra holds a grudge against Universe 7. Hearing that Freeza will become a team member, he plots to ensure an easy victory by defeating Freeza before he can join!"
Looking at the synopsis, it seems as if Goku's crack team of warriors is about to push back against the Saiyan's lead. Universe 7 is intimately familiar with the kind of damage Freeza can cause, and Goku's friends have all suffered under the tyrant. Back in Dragon Ball Z, Freeza gleefully killed Krillin for the thrill of it, so it's understandable for the fighter to avoid Freeza. Goku will have to find a way to convince his allies that Freeza's assistance is the best way to keep their universe alive.
Still, there is a chance that Freeza may not even make it to the tournament. The synopsis says that Universe 9 will go out of its way to assassinated the villain before the Tournament of Power begins. The baddie will surely be able to handle the threat on his own, but Goku will be forced to keep an eye on his reluctant ally. After all, if Freeza does back out of the contest, then Goku's team will be one man short.
But, hey - that means the gang could all invite Yamcha to join!
