Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman debuted in a theater this past weekend and it's proved to be nothing short of a success — both critically and at the box office.

While grossing $103 million domestically, Wonder Woman added $125 million internationally for a total of $228 million in the movie's global debut.

After the United States' $103 million outing, the movie raked in $38.2 million across 15,495 in China, the fourth largest Warner Brothers debut in the country. Korea and Mexico both added $8.4 million while Brazil and the United Kingdom added about $8 million each.

Although the movie fell short of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice's opening weekend, the movie outperformed fellow DC Extended Universe entry Man of Steel and several Marvel Studios outings such as both Thor films, the first two Iron Man films, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Wonder Woman is in theaters now.

Pictures presents, in association with RatPac-Dune Entertainment, an Atlas Entertainment/Cruel and Unusual production, Wonder Woman.
