In less than a year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will reach a climax when Avengers: Infinity War debuts. The long-awaited film will see Earth's most famous heroes team up with favorites like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange. Right now, the film is undergoing production across the pond in the UK, so fans are taking it upon themselves to promote the feature on social media. And, thanks to one artist, fans can now fawn over the film with a fan-made teaser poster.
Over on Reddit, a fan-poster for Avengers: Infinity War was shared with MCU loyalists, and fans have given it their seal of approval. The image is a simple one which Marvel Studios has used for its previous Avengers flick. The unofficial teaser poster shows the large Avengers 'A' logo with the text "Assemble 2018" engraved on it. In the background, the shining metal is seen reflecting the cosmos as the logo floats in space. The MCU's Infinity Stones even get a nod in the piece as each of the pieces' colors are reflected on the Avengers logo as well.
For now, there is no telling when fans of the MCU will get an official teaser poster for the film, but it cannot come soon enough. Filming is already underway on Avengers: Infinity War, so a vision has been put in place for the feature. Marvel Studios is expected to drop some sort of information about the third Avengers film this July at San Diego Comic Con, so a teaser poster may be dropped officially there.
If it is a trailer you are waiting on, then you may be in luck. Production is only a few months in on Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel Studios has teased fans with less. Fans have speculated a teaser trailer for the ensemble film may drop in October or November of this year. Most MCU films have a trailer drop about seven months before it releases; With Avengers: Infinity War set to premiere in May 2018, November would be a perfect time to share first-look footage. Marvel Studios also has the perfect place to drop such a teaser. The company will see Thor: Ragnarok enter theaters in mid-November, so there is already a venue set in place.
You can check out the first synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War below:
"As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain."
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
