Star Trek: Kelvin Timeline Art Book Announced

The stunning artwork of the latest trilogy of Star Trek films will soon be collected in a new book from Titan.

The Art of Star Trek: The Kelvin Timeline will collect artwork from 2009's Star Trek and its sequels, Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond.

The Art of Star Trek: The Kelvin Timeline is set for release on Nov. 7, 2017, and is priced at $39.95.

The Kelvin timeline is an alternate reality or parallel universe created in 2233 due to the temporal incursion of the Narada, a Romulan mining vessel commanded by Nero from the year 2387. The Kelvin timeline differs from the main reality of the Star Trek universe in a number of ways, including the attack upon the USS Kelvin (from which the timeline takes its name), the launch of the USS Enterprise in 2258, and the destruction of the planet Vulcan.

In Star Trek, Aboard the USS Enterprise, the most-sophisticated starship ever built, a novice crew embarks on its maiden voyage. Their path takes them on a collision course with Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan commander whose mission of vengeance threatens all mankind. If humanity would survive, a rebellious young officer named James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and a coolly logical Vulcan named Spock (Zachary Quinto) must move beyond their rivalry and find a way to defeat Nero before it is too late.

In Star Trek Into Darkness, the crew of the Starship Enterprise returns home after an act of terrorism within its own organization destroys most of Starfleet and what it represents, leaving Earth in a state of crisis. In Star Trek Beyond, a surprise attack in outer space forces the Enterprise to crash-land on a mysterious world. The assault came from Krall (Idris Elba), a lizard-like dictator who derives his energy by sucking the life out of his victims. Krall needs an ancient and valuable artifact that's aboard the badly damaged starship. Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.
