Last year turned out to be a big surprise for PlayStation Experience attendees, as Naughty Dog not only revealed The Last of Us Part II, it also a new Uncharted adventure, The Lost Legacy, featuring Chloe in the place of Nathan Drake. During this past week's E3 presentation, Legacy got an equal amount of attention, and the developer even showed off new gameplay for those in attendance at the show.

But for those who missed out on it, or couldn't attend the show for some reason, not to worry – the developer has managed to release the gameplay video on YouTube, which you can see above. If you're a fan of the game, consider it a not-miss, especially when it comes to the high level of action included, along with the camaraderie you may have gotten used to in the Uncharted series.

In the demo, Chloe, alongside her cohort Nadine, venture deep into the jungle, searching for something related to the game's plot. Of course, it's not long before enemies begin showing up, and Chloe finds herself having to deal with them the best way she knows how – through firearms. This video is proof positive that Naughty Dog still knows how to stage some of the best action sequences in a video game. There's even a vehicular chase, for those of you that couldn't get enough of the one that was featured in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. (This one isn't quite that epic, but it's still quite good in terms of quality.)

But the demo also does a great job when it comes to establishing Chloe and Nadine differently from Nathan and Sam Drake, especially when it comes to arguments and getting to work with one another in an effort to survive certain situations. Of course, there are still questions that need to be answered – like, who's the bad guy at the end that looks ready to blow Chloe's head off? – but overall, the demo has us very excited for the game before its arrival in a couple of months. Chances are you'll feel the same way.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy releases on August 22nd for PlayStation 4.
