Pokemon Go Bag Upgrade

If you're a Pokemon Go Trainer who finds yourself hoarding a ton of items during your Pokemon hunts, you'll now have room to bring a few more items with you after the max storage for items in your bag has been raised from 1,000 to 1,500 items.

News of the capacity upgrade comes from a tweet that was released on the Pokemon Go Twitter account that said the new storage capacity limit can be reached through the bag upgrades option in the in-game store.

Many players who replied to the tweet were excited about the change that means that they can now hoard 500 more items in their bags if they've already maxed out the previous bag capacity. Others, on the other hand, wondered how players could even get to such a high amount of items, saying that they began using or tossing out the items if they thought they were accumulating too many.

Some players also took the opportunity to discuss the one-coin-per-hour that they'd be receiving by holding Gyms, saying that it would be difficult to save up enough to upgrade their bag again or make other purchases without having to fork over some cash for the bigger bag and items to fill it with. The system may work out well with Gyms that have a strong team, but for areas where the turnover rate is high, it might be a bit more difficult to accumulate coins since you don't receive any if you can't hold it for an hour.

The bag capacity upgrade might've come at a good time too as players gear up for the Pokemon Go Fest event that's happening in July. The event sold out quickly and tickets are currently being resold at some extremely high prices, costs that will run you much more than the 200 coin upgrade for your item bag. If you can't make it to the event or didn't get a ticket in time, you'll still be able to take advantage of some of the rewards and global events going on during that time.
